OLD POINT LOMA LIGHTHOUSE
Built in 1854, Point Loma was one of the first eight lighthouses on the Pacific coast. It remained in use until 1891 when the new Pelican Lighthouse began operating. In 1913 Point Loma became the site of the Cabrillo National Monument. During WWII the Navy used it as a signal tower. It was restored in 1984.
